Austin May

Bio
Austin May doesn't hesitate to experiment with other styles and genres, and his newest work, Dreamlike, is no exception. May has always been committed to concept albums, and since his last release, 20 Something, has digressed more into post-rock than anything else. Dreamlike is arguably closer to 2007's Chemistry than any other release, but they are still miles apart. The album starts off slow, introducing each instrument with elegance and grace, and flows like one continuous song, one cohesive build, and one complex dream. The music creates a sweeping landscape of lush keyboards, guitars and drums driving the themes and symbolism while the sprawling, stream-of-consciousness lyrics dig deep into topics such as altered states of mind, existentialism, individualism, and the importance of love when nothing else makes sense. May boldly embraces new technology and open mindedness to accompany his songwriting and approach to music.
